They've put these white railings along every sidewalk in my neighborhood. I can only think of 3 explanations: they're drumming up employment for everyone (you know - communism), the local civil leader's family owns a railing-making company, or SZ residents are such bad drivers they can't avoid the sidewalk. (I would include myself in that last group if I wasn't too terrified to drive here.)
