This is so typical. My parents are delayed at the Shenzhen airport. First their plane was 1hr late (no surprise). Then my mother left her passport on the plane (I probably shouldn't have told her to take sleeping pills). Now they have their bags and passports but my mother is holding up the process bc she needs to immediately write a thank you letter to the airline for helping her re-plane and find her passport.
