We ended our day in Guilin with Seven-Star Park, which is HUGE. It was pretty and peaceful, although nothing special, and we were a little disappointed until we got to the Forest of Stele - one of the most stunning things I've ever seen. I would suggest going there first (if you enter by the Flower Bridge start by walking to the right, not the left, as we did) then seeing the rest of the park if you have extra time.
These stele date back 1500 years and are in such perfect condition. They are the writings of many different people who added them over a period of time so they tell lots of different histories.
